Rooms that have to inspire confidence
Hospitals, medical practices and laboratories are highly functional facilities - and at the same time places where people arrive, wait and are given information. Reception is the first impression of the practice, often before a word is spoken. Timber takes the hardness out of such rooms without their losing any of their seriousness.
We develop concepts that serve both: workflows that function day to day, and a design that makes the stay more bearable.
Designing for hygiene and cleaning
In a medical setting the suitability of an interior is decided by details you do not see: closed joints, radiused transitions, surfaces without dust traps, plinths with nothing collecting underneath, and finishes that withstand daily disinfection. None of that can be added later; it belongs in the construction.
Where a surface is constantly disinfected, timber is not always the right answer. We use it where it tells - reception, waiting area, panelling, built-in units - and combine it with the materials that make more sense in the heavily used places. Which requirements apply depends on the specialism and on your hygiene plan; you bring those, we build to them.
Fitting out while you stay open
A practice can rarely close for weeks. We therefore prefabricate largely in the workshop and keep the time on site short - installation in phases, on marginal days or in closing times. That calls for a more accurate survey and more planning beforehand, but it keeps disruption to a minimum.

Built-in units, cabinet walls and work surfaces with cleanable transitions and closed joints.

Fit-out and furnishing for larger buildings, installable in phases while operations continue.

That depends on the execution and the location, not on the material alone. What matters are closed joints, radiused transitions, disinfectable surfaces and constructions without dust traps. Where disinfection is constant we use materials designed for it and combine them with timber where it works visually. We base the design on your hygiene plan.
As a rule yes. Because we prefabricate in the workshop, essentially only installation falls on site. That can be placed in marginal hours, on closing days or in phases. It needs more accurate planning beforehand but keeps the downtime short.
