2. Collection and processing of personal data
You can generally visit our website without providing personal data. Personal data is only collected if you provide it voluntarily via the contact form or by email.
3. Server log files
When you access this website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically stored in what are known as server log files: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and the IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after seven days at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in technically faultless and secure operation).
4. Hosting
This website runs on a server in Germany commissioned by us. The hosting provider processes the above data exclusively on our behalf and is bound by a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.
5. Contact form, email and telephone
If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by telephone, your details including your contact data are stored in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected; statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Providing your name and email address is necessary for us to answer your enquiry; all other details are optional. Without this information we cannot process your enquiry — there is no contractual or statutory obligation to provide it.
6. Job applications
If you apply to us, we process the data you submit in order to carry out the application procedure. The legal basis is § 26 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. If no employment relationship comes about, we delete your documents no later than six months after the procedure ends; this period serves to defend against possible claims under the German General Equal Treatment Act. If you would like us to keep your documents beyond that for future vacancies, we require your separate consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
7. Fonts (hosted locally)
This website uses font files stored locally on our server to display typefaces consistently. No connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) is made.
8. Cookies, analytics, automated decisions
This website uses no cookies and no analytics or marketing tools. No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
9. Linked third-party content
In the news section we refer to third-party articles by headline, short summary and source. Data is only transmitted to the respective website once you click such a link; the provider of that site is responsible for its data processing. No third-party content is loaded onto our page.
10. Data protection officer
We are not legally required to appoint a data protection officer (§ 38 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act). For all data protection matters, please use the contact details given under section 1.
11. Your rights
Within the statutory provisions you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), its origin and recipients and the purpose of processing, as well as a right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR); this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
