CNC contract work
for businesses

For joineries and wood-processing businesses

Our 5-axis machining centre is open to other businesses as well. You use the precision without investing in the technology yourself.

CNC contract work for businesses

Machine time instead of buying a machine

A 5-axis machining centre only pays from a certain level of utilisation. For many businesses that means one of two things: either you invest and fail to keep the machine busy for years, or you turn down work that cannot be produced economically without it. Contract machining is the third way - you hand over exactly the operations that need the machine and keep the rest in house.

That applies to individual preliminary work as much as to whole runs. We are a joinery ourselves and know what a job has to look like to slot back into your process.

What we take on

Send us your drawing or CAD file and we manufacture the components to exact size and return them ready to install - from a single piece to a series. Or you supply the material and we do only the machining: cutting to size, milling, drilling patterns and complex 3D contours on five axes. Your timber stays with you, the demanding machine work comes to us.

With five axes it is also possible to produce geometries that cannot be done on three, or only with multiple set-ups - angled drilling patterns, curved surfaces, joints at oblique angles. In heritage reproduction and contract work that is regularly the point where effort and accuracy are decided.

Advice starting with the data

Most of the time lost in contract machining is not lost at the machine but before it: on data that has to be reworked, unclear datum edges, or tolerances nobody has defined. We look at your documents in advance and say what we need for a smooth run. That costs one phone call and may well save a production run.

Frequently asked questions

From a single piece to a series. With individual parts the set-up weighs more heavily; with runs it is spread - that shows in the price but does not rule out small quantities. Enquire with your actual quantity and we will work it out.

A dimensioned drawing or a CAD file, plus details of material, datum edges and tolerances. If you are unsure which format suits, call first - we will look at the documents and say what is missing before you spend time preparing anything.

Yes, that is one of the two usual routes. You provide the material and we handle the machining only. Your purchasing stays with you and you hand over just the machine time.

Yes. Drawings and components can be sent; with contract machining a site visit is usually unnecessary. What matters is that the documents are right - the rest we settle on the phone.
